Micro Mosaic Pendant, made from a Vintage Brass Pillbox with green and floral design K0158

This used to be a little pillbox!

It was made in Italy from brass and done in a style called 'Micromosaic' – a design created entirely with tiny pieces of colorful glass. Artists combined different colors, sizes and shapes of glass to create mosaic designs, in this case an assortment of bright flowers on a dark green background.

This pendant was the pillbox's lid; I removed the hinge and carefully ground the edge smooth, then I drilled a hole in the lid's tab and attached a vintage brass jump ring.

Since this is a real, vintage item, there may be a few scratches and scuffs, or some minor imperfections in the glass mosaic. Consider it part of its vintage charm!
